Instructions
Melt the butter at a very low temperature and let it cool for a while.
In the mixer bowl, combine all the dough ingredients along with the butter and beat with the hook until a dough ball forms around it.
Alternatively, knead all the ingredients by hand until fully incorporated.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour to firm up.
Flour the work surface lightly, roll out the dough with a rolling pin also dusted with flour, and create a sheet about 1 centimeter thick.
Cut out shapes with Christmas-themed cookie cutters and place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180℃ (356℉) for only 13 minutes.
When you take them out of the oven, they will be soft at first, but they will harden as they cool.
Allow the cookies to cool completely and prepare the royal icing.
For the royal icing:
Combine all the icing ingredients in a bowl and mix with a spoon until the ingredients are well combined.
Transfer the icing to a piping bag with a thin tip and create designs.
Finally, sprinkle with colored glitter to add a festive touch to your cookies.
